Data mining diagnosis system based on rough set theory for boilers in thermal power plants

摘要: Large amounts of data in the SCADA systems databases of thermal power plants have been used for monitoring, control and over-limit alarm, but not for fault diagnosis. Additional tests are often required from the technology support center of manufacturing companies to diagnose faults for large-scale equipment, although these tests are often expensive and involve some risks to equipment. Aimed at difficulties in fault diagnosis for boilers in thermal power plants, a hybrid-intelligence data-mining system based only on acquired data in SCADA systems is structured to extract hidden diagnosis information directly from the SCADA systems databases in thermal power plants. This makes it possible to eliminate additional tests for fault diagnosis. In the system, a focusing quantization algorithm is proposed to discretize all variables in the preparation set to improve resolution near the change between normal value to abnormal value. A reduction algorithm based on rough set theory is designed to find minimum reducts from all discrete variables in the preparation set to represent diagnosis rules succinctly. The diagnosis rules mining from SCADA systems database are expressed directly by variables in the database, making it easy for engineers to understand and use in industry applications. A boiler fault diagnosis system is designed and realized by the proposed approach, its running results in a thermal power plant of Guangdong Province show that the system can satisfy fault diagnosis requirement of large-scale boilers and its accuracy rangers from 91% to 98% in different months.

Standard model of knowledge representation

摘要:

Knowledge representation is the core of artificial intelligence research. Knowledge representation methods include predicate logic, semantic network, computer programming language, database, mathematical model, graphics language, natural language, etc. To establish the intrinsic link between various knowledge representation methods, a unified knowledge representation model is necessary. According to ontology, system theory, and control theory, a standard model of knowledge representation that reflects the change of the objective world is proposed. The model is composed of input, processing, and output. This knowledge representation method is not a contradiction to the traditional knowledge representation method. It can express knowledge in terms of multivariate and multidimensional. It can also express process knowledge, and at the same time, it has a strong ability to solve problems. In addition, the standard model of knowledge representation provides a way to solve problems of non-precision and inconsistent knowledge.

DESIGNING DIVERSIFIED CROPPING SYSTEMS IN CHINA: THEORY, APPROACHES AND IMPLEMENTATION

摘要:

Intensive agriculture in China over recent decades has successfully realized food security but at the expense of negative environmental impacts. Achieving green transformation of agriculture in China requires fundamental restructuring of cropping systems. This paper presents a theoretical framework of theory, approaches and implementation of crop diversification schemes in China. Initially, crop diversification schemes require identifying multiple objectives by simultaneously considering natural resources, limiting factors/constraints, and social and economic demands of different stakeholders. Then, it is necessary to optimize existing and/or design novel cropping systems based upon farming practices and ecological principles, and to strengthen targeted ecosystem services to achieve the identified objectives. Next, the resulting diversified cropping systems need to be evaluated and examined by employing experimental and modeling approaches. Finally, a strategic plan, as presented in this paper, is needed for implementing an optimized crop diversification in China based upon regional characteristics with the concurrent objectives of safe, nutritious food production and environmental protection. The North China Plain is used as an example to illustrate the strategic plan to optimize and design diversified cropping systems. The implementation of crop diversification in China will set an example for other countries undergoing agricultural transition, and contribute to global sustainable development.

工程管理理论体系概念模型构建分析

摘要:

中国工程管理的理论研究总是沿袭西方项目管理知识体系的思想,缺乏对具有本土特色的逻辑严密、层次分明的理论体系进行深入系统的分析和研究。本文遵循从抽象到具体的逻辑过程,按照科学的理论体系构建方法,构建了工程管理理论体系概念模型,即“树”模型。“树”模型将工程管理的基础理论、主体理论以及应用理论有机地联系起来,同时生动地体现了理论研究与实践,理论发展与环境之间的互动关系,具有开放、动态、发展的特点。

Applications of dynamical complexity theory in traditional Chinese medicine

摘要:

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been gradually accepted by the world. Despite its widespread use in clinical settings, a major challenge in TCM is to study it scientifically. This difficulty arises from the fact that TCM views human body as a complex dynamical system, and focuses on the balance of the human body, both internally and with its external environment. As a result, conventional tools that are based on reductionist approach are not adequate. Methods that can quantify the dynamics of complex integrative systems may bring new insights and utilities about the clinical practice and evaluation of efficacy of TCM. The dynamical complexity theory recently proposed and its computational algorithm, Multiscale Entropy (MSE) analysis, are consistent with TCM concepts. This new system level analysis has been successfully applied to many health and disease related topics in medicine. We believe that there could be many promising applications of this dynamical complexity concept in TCM. In this article, we propose some promising applications and research areas that TCM practitioners and researchers can pursue.

模糊灰色物元空间(FHW)理论与实践——宏观复杂大系统决策方法

摘要:

模糊灰色物元空间(FHW)是针对宏观复杂大系统中的决策、预测问题进行决策支持的理论方法。它以Delphi法和模糊综合评判为基础,融合了BS和K.J法的优点,综合了模糊数学、灰色系统、物元分析与可拓学等多种理论,以此理论为基础的决策支持系统已经在实际应用中取得了大量的成果。经过近20年的发展,这套理论方法在综合人工智能、复杂系统、集合论等其他学科的基础上,自身也有了长足的发展与进步。简要介绍了模糊、灰色、物元空间理论的理论体系、实际应用情况和近年来的发展和展望。

万病归宗论

在中医原创理论的基础上,结合《易经》、《内经》和《道德经》三经思想,提出了“万病归宗”理论、“三维守恒”调控法则、“五脏阴阳”辨证纲领,以及临床治疗“双合”原则等中医创新理论体系,并研制出与之相应的两大类、五大系列、三十多种中药成药新品种的中药创新体系。用于防止疾病的发展、演变与恶化,并取得了较好的疗效。

摘要:

当前,我国经济快速增长,工程建设的规模日益扩大,诸多大型工程相继完工并投入使用,工程管理实践日新月异;与此同时,学者对工程管理也在不断地总结归纳,并努力逐步形成工程管理理论体系,探究工程管理理论体系的核心成为构建工程管理理论体系的关键。本文通过研究我国工程管理的理论和实践,初步总结出工程管理理论的核心:“以人为本,天人合一,协同创新,构建和谐”,并试对工程管理做了全面的定义。希望有助于工程管理理论体系的研究。

Theory and method of mechanism system design

摘要: Conceptual design is the most critical and creative phase of design. Recently, increasing attention has been directed to supporting conceptual-level computer aided creative design and its theories and methodologies. Specifically, for conceptual design of mechanical products, this paper presents a novel function solving model for mechanical product design and highlights the importance of systematic synthesis to achieve creative design. Then it builds a framework as a function-effect-process-action- mechanisms (FEPAM) mapping process, which enables creative design on the basis of conceiving different action schemes. After that, several key points are elaborated including 1) representing and decomposition methods of functions and motion behaviors; 2) action scheme representing method based on network plan techniques; and 3) variation and creation methods based on action scheme transformations.

Firm innovation system: Paths for enhancing corporate indigenous innovation capability

摘要: To obtain a sustainable competitive advantage and achieve global innovation leadership, firms in China and other emerging economies must develop strong indigenous innovation capabilities through the coevolution of strategy, organization, resources, and culture. Drawing on current innovation management theories and practices, this study proposes four systematic paths for improving firm innovation systems (FISs), namely, the R&D-based internal collaborative FIS, the strategic vision-driven FIS, the open and user-driven FIS, and the holistic ecosystem-driven FIS. This study contributes to the systematic approach for enhancing corporate indigenous innovation capability based on FISs. Moreover, this study provides theoretical and practical insights for China as well as other developing countries to cultivate world-class enterprises and build an innovative nation.

Theory analysis and system identification methods on thermal dynamics characteristics of ballscrews

摘要: Empirical model of machine tools on thermal error has been widely researched, which can compensate for thermal error to some extent but not suitable for thermal dynamic errors produced by dynamic heat sources. The thermoelastic phenomenon of unidimensional heat transfer of ballscrews influenced by changeable heat sources is analyzed based on the theory of heat transfer. Two methods for system identification (the least square system identification and BP artificial neural network (ANN) system identification) are put forward to establish a dynamic characteristic model of thermal deformation of ballscrews. The model of thermal error of the axis in a feed system of DM4600 vertical miller is established with a fine identification effect. Comparing the results of the two identification methods, the BP ANN system identification is more precise than the least square system identification.

Design of ultrasonic elliptical vibration cutting system for tungsten heavy alloy

摘要: Nanoscale surface roughness of tungsten heavy alloy components is required in the nuclear industry and precision instruments. In this study, a high-performance ultrasonic elliptical vibration cutting (UEVC) system is developed to solve the precision machining problem of tungsten heavy alloy. A new design method of stepped bending vibration horn based on Timoshenko’s theory is first proposed, and its design process is greatly simplified. The arrangement and working principle of piezoelectric transducers on the ultrasonic vibrator using the fifth resonant mode of bending are analyzed to realize the dual-bending vibration modes. A cutting tool is installed at the end of the ultrasonic vibration unit to output the ultrasonic elliptical vibration locus, which is verified by finite element method. The vibration unit can display different three-degree-of-freedom (3-DOF) UEVC characteristics by adjusting the corresponding position of the unit and workpiece. A dual-channel ultrasonic power supply is developed to excite the ultrasonic vibration unit, which makes the UEVC system present the resonant frequency of 41 kHz and the maximum amplitude of 14.2 μm. Different microtopography and surface roughness are obtained by the cutting experiments of tungsten heavy alloy hemispherical workpiece with the UEVC system, which validates the proposed design’s technical capability and provides optimization basis for further improving the machining quality of the curved surface components of tungsten heavy alloy.
